Born in 1928 in Corsica, he graduated from the Paris School of Fine Art and worked with ZADKINE, LIPSKY and Andre BLOCH,.Gerard MANNONI is a builder with the willingness to construct huge metal structures as in did in Paris and many places around France .
To him the culture is mostly a problem of space, equilibrium and dynamism. He is always in search oif modern materials lile aluminium, stainless steel , stone and synthetic components. He had many exhibitions all over Europe and Canada and participated in many " salons or biennales " Venise, Kassel and Paris.
